Five questions for Nadav Karni… Acoustiguide new CEO

POSTED ON

We are thrilled to introduce our new CEO – Nadav Karni. Followers of Acoustiguide may know him already – Nadav joined Acoustiguide in 2003 and served as the Group CFO till 2012. Then he served as CFO of two medical device companies, and now he’s back with us as our new CEO.

We took a few minutes of his time to get to know him better... So, without further ado, five questions for Nadav:

Q: What is it about Acoustiguide that appealed to you and convinced you to come back?

A: I always had a soft spot for Acoustiguide. I never lost touch with many great people in the company over the years, so it was an easy decision for me.

I was given the opportunity to lead the company and work with a great team of people, to take it forward and develop its new directions. I am honored to be part of this Group. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for me; it also gives me a sense of closure.

I am entering Israel Gal’s shoes, a Group CEO of 19 years. I hope to live up to the expectations people naturally have of his successor.

Q: What are your interests and passions? What kind of things do you like to do when you’re not at work?

A: I love spending time with my family. I am a proud father of 3 children (9, 6, 1 year old). I like cooking and enjoying a good meal. My latest passion is a sport called “Movement Culture” which represents a contemporary paradigm shift in physicality, moving us away from main culprits in movement and fitness as well as the separation between health, aesthetics, performance and art.

Q: Describe yourself in 3 adjectives

A: These would be: persistent, approachable and credible.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received in your career?

A: Actually, it is a combination of good advices I gathered along the way, which sum up to the following: believe in what you do! Envision where you’d like to be or where you’d like to get to and work your way there. At the end, it’s all about people; in order to live the dream and achieve your goals, you need a strong team that collaborates and supports each other.

Q: What are you looking forward to as Acoustiguide new CEO?

A: Acoustiguide has a long-legacy of being the industry leader, great reputation and a strong brand; I want to maintain these and develop them onwards.

I look forward to working with our teams as well as partners to continue providing inspirational experiences to our clients; On top of that, I trust there are so many new opportunities out there waiting to be exploited Acoustiguide is so unique with its vast experience and expertise, it has a lot to say - both in traditional and new arenas.
